Welcome back to Football Paparazzi’s Weekly Fantasy Fix, where we dive into the toughest calls and smartest moves before every FPL deadline.

This week, we’re tackling the big Fantasy Premier League questions ahead of Gameweek 10.

From what to do with the out-of-form Joao Pedro, to whether Manchester United players are finally worth considering again, and more.

The Joao Pedro dilemma – who to bring in?

Joao Pedro’s golden run has truly come to an end. Despite being the third-most owned player, the Chelsea striker is quickly falling out of favour with more than 1 million players selling him over the last two weeks.

So, it is only natural to take a look at some of the possible replacements.

If you have the bank balance to go big, and (somehow) you don’t already have Erling Haaland (£14.8m), that is definitely who you should go for.

As far as affordable picks are concerned, both Thiago (£6.2m) and Danny Welbeck (£6.4m) are decent alternatives.

For like-to-like replacements, in terms of price, you can get the in-form Nick Woltemade (£7.5m) or even Jean-Philippe Mateta (£7.7m).

What about Manchester United players? Are the Red Devils back again?

Well, this might be the toughest question to answer in world football.

But, it is definitely easier in terms of Fantasy Premier League because we have various metrics to analyze this.

Manchester United’s recent form has been excellent. Add to that their next ten fixtures and they do not have a single fixture with an FDR of 4<.

However, despite the recent uptick in form, their defence is not exactly the area you should target. They tend to concede frequently and do rotate quite a bit due to injuries and manager’s preferences.

As a result, your best bet is bringing in either one of their shiny new attackers or the reliable Bruno Fernandes (£8.9m).

Bryan Mbeumo’s (£8.2m) form has been superb with 30 points in the last three gameweeks and he could be a cheaper alternative to Bruno.

Bonus tip: Crystal Palace players could return BIG

Despite facing an in-form Brentford side at Selhurst Park in Gameweek 10, Oliver Glasner’s Crystal Palace might be your best bet to win the next few gameweeks.

Palace dismantled Liverpool, once again, in the Carabao Cup and their next fixtures are looking very promising.

Back-to-back home games against Brentford and Brighton will be followed by a trip to Wolves and then Burnley with Manchester United at Selhurst Park in between.

They probably won’t win all these fixtures but these games promise a lot of goals. Potentially for both sides.

So, you could do worse than bringing in Jean-Philippe Mateta (£7.7m) and Ismaila Sarr (£6.5m). The likes of Daniel Munoz (£5.7m) and Maxence Lacroix (£5.0m) are also very good options. These versatile defenders offer returns on both sides of the pitch.
