Football Paparazzi Weekly Fantasy Fix: Best picks for FPL Blank Gameweek 34
Last Updated on 23 April 2026
Fantasy managers around the world are gearing up, with a very short turnaround, for Blank Gameweek 34. It comes at an interesting time, with only five gameweeks left in Fantasy Premier League.
As plenty of teams already played in twice in Gameweek 33, some Premier League clubs will not have any fixtures in Gameweek 34. The list includes AFC Bournemouth, Brighton & Hove Albion, Burnley, Chelsea, Leeds United and Manchester City.
Here are the best Fantasy Premier League picks for Gameweek 34.
Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) – £14.0m
Mohamed Salah is approaching the end of his nine-year Merseyside chapter in fine form. Goals in each of his last three Premier League starts, including Sunday’s Merseyside derby, have yielded an average of 9.0 FPL points per match.
His underlying numbers over those four outings are the best of any midfielder: 10 shots in the box and four big chances. After a stop-start season, everything is pointing toward a high-scoring farewell for a veritable Fantasy legend.
Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) – £8.6m
The most-transferred-in player of BGW34, and for good reason. A 16-point haul against Sunderland has attracted over 270,000 new owners, nearly double his nearest rival. No forward in the last five Gameweeks has more big chances than his tally of seven, as per FPL.
With Erling Haaland blanking this week and managers in desperate need of a forward, Watkins delivers on multiple fronts. None of Villa’s next three fixtures rate above three in the FDR, rotation risk is minimal, and his underlying numbers are trending upwards.
Pedro Porro (Tottenham) – £5.1m
Spurs have the standout fixture in BGW34, a trip to already-relegated Wolverhampton, and Porro is the pick to exploit it.
Reinstated on set-pieces under new head coach Roberto De Zerbi and granted more license to get forward, the right-back carries a threat at both ends of the pitch. He represents a compact, high-upside option for managers looking to free up budget elsewhere.
Harry Wilson (Fulham) – £6.0m
Among all players with a fixture this weekend, Wilson ranks second when judged on the relevant home or away record. His 91 points at home this season tell the story: eight goals and three assists across 14 home starts, blanking on just five occasions.
Fulham host a BGW34 match and face three further home games plus a trip to Wolves in the final five Gameweeks. This makes Wilson a strong option whether you have a chip active or are spending a free transfer.
