With the summer transfer window approaching, Anthony Gordon has become one of the most talked-about wingers in Europe. The Newcastle star is enjoying another impressive campaign, with performances attracting interest from several elite clubs.

The list currently includes Liverpool and Bayern Munich, and even Premier League leaders, Arsenal. As transfer speculation grows, so does curiosity about Gordon’s finances, from his current wages at Newcastle to how much a potential move could boost his earnings.

With the 2026 World Cup on the horizon and competition for England places intensifying, the next step in Gordon’s career could be as much about ambition as it is about financial reward.

Anthony Gordon’s current net worth and Newcastle wages

Anthony Gordon has steadily built both his reputation and his bank balance since emerging through Everton’s academy. After joining Newcastle United in January 2023, the winger established himself as one of the club’s key attacking players.

His performances were rewarded with a new long-term contract in 2024. It significantly increased his salary and confirmed his importance to Eddie Howe’s project. Capology suggests Gordon now earns around £150,000 per week at Newcastle, roughly £7.8 million per year.

That places him among the club’s higher earners, though still below the top salary bracket occupied by players such as Bruno Guimaraes. Thanks to those wages, endorsement deals, and performance bonuses, Gordon’s estimated net worth is believed to be around £20 million.

The 25-year-old has also benefited from England call-ups and Champions League exposure with Newcastle, which has helped elevate his market value across Europe. But while those figures are already impressive, a summer transfer could take his earnings to another level.

Anthony Gordon on Bayern and Liverpool’s wishlist as short-term Hugo Ekitike replacement

Recent transfer reports have linked Gordon strongly with a potential summer move, with Liverpool and Bayern Munich both said to be monitoring the situation. Liverpool previously showed interest, and renewed links emerged after uncertainty around their attacking options.

Hugo Ekitike’s Achilles injury is set to rule him out of the World Cup and for the remainder of the calendar year. Mohamed Salah will leave the club on a free in the summer while Federico Chiesa is expected to depart, too.

Meanwhile, Bayern are reportedly exploring alternatives in the transfer market after other attacking targets became difficult to secure. A move to either club would almost certainly come with a significant salary increase.

Top players at Liverpool typically earn between £200,000 and £350,000 per week. This means Gordon could realistically expect a contract in the £200k–£220k weekly range should he return to Liverpool. At Bayern Munich, the financial ceiling can be even higher.
