It was the night North London had been waiting 22 years for. When the final whistle blew at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday and Manchester City’s 1-1 draw with Bournemouth was confirmed, Arsenal were Premier League champions.

The players had gathered at London Colney to watch the drama unfold, and the moment City failed to win on the South Coast, the Arsenal squad erupted, according to The Sun.

From the training ground to the Emirates, from Instagram to the streets of N5, the celebrations that followed were nothing short of extraordinary, and the WAGs were right at the heart of them.

How the Arsenal WAGs Marked a Historic Night

First came the social media tributes, and they arrived fast. The partners of Arsenal’s players have long been known for their closeness, and title night was no different. Tolami Benson, Bukayo Saka’s fiancee, led the charge. She posted loving pitch-side photos of the couple.

The caption was simple: “MY FIANCE, MY NUMBER 7.” In one shot, Saka stood behind Tolami with his arm wrapped firmly around her shoulders. She leaned into him, eyes softly closed, wearing her maroon Arsenal cap and denim jacket. It was a moment of pure, quiet joy.

The tribute also carried extra weight. Months earlier, Saka proposed to her in a hotel, presenting her with what was an “enormous” engagement ring. Saka responded to her post playfully, and the exchange quickly became one of the most-shared moments of the night.

Meanwhile, the wider WAG group made their presence felt too. Helene Odegaard, Sophie Weber, Rose de Back and Milly White are often seen socialising together away from football, and this was no exception. Arteta has actively encouraged that bond.

He even invited the partners on Arsenal’s winter trip to Dubai earlier in the season. That unity clearly paid off. Together, they had cheered Arsenal across Europe, from the Bernabeu to Budapest. Finally, they had a league title to go with it.

How the Arsenal players reacted when title was confirmed in the South Coast

While the WAGs celebrated online, the players marked the moment together, and in style. The squad gathered at the Colney training base to watch the Bournemouth game. When the final whistle sounded at the Vitality Stadium, wild celebrations broke out among players and staff.

Myles Lewis-Skelly, who wasn’t even born when Arsenal last won the title, captured it on his phone, the squad belting out Queen’s “We Are The Champions.” Then came Declan Rice’s moment. After Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat to City, Rice told captain Odegaard “it’s not over”.

Rival fans mocked him relentlessly. Yet, one month on, Rice had the last laugh. He shared a cheeky callback post on social media, referencing that exact moment of defiance. Nobody was laughing at him now. Elsewhere, Arteta had quietly prepared something special.

He had installed a blacked-out Premier League trophy at the training base, rigged to light up only when Arsenal clinched the title. Saka and Timber sprinted straight to it the moment the whistle confirmed the championship. For Riccardo Calafiori, the night had a personal touch.

The Italian defender turned 24 on the very evening Arsenal were crowned champions. Not a bad way to celebrate a birthday. Eventually, the squad took the party to the fans. After celebrating at Colney, some fans headed to the Emirates as the sun came up.

But, Arsenal fans will tell you that the party is only getting started. And with a title parade confirmed for May 31 around Islington, potentially a double celebration if Arsenal beat PSG in Budapest the night before, the party is far from over.
