Gameweek 36 is a double gameweek, and with Crystal Palace and Manchester City both playing twice, the chip decisions are coming thick and fast.

If you still have the triple captain, it might be the perfect time to play it. Toward the top, the title race is entering its defining stretch, meanwhile European places remain up for grabs, and the relegation picture is only just beginning to settle.

Here are the best Fantasy Premier League picks for Gameweek 36.

Erling Haaland (Manchester City) – £14.3m

There is no more compelling double gameweek asset than Erling Haaland, and the numbers back it up. The Norwegian is back among the goals and with City two points behind Arsenal in the title race, Pep Guardiola’s side need to win both home fixtures, and win them convincingly.

Goal difference could yet prove decisive, and that is precisely where Haaland becomes invaluable. He scored in the draw at Everton last time out, and with two games at the Etihad to come, there are few safer captaincy options in the game right now.

Jan Paul van Hecke (Brighton) – £4.6m

At just £4.6m, Jan Paul van Hecke offers exceptional value as Brighton host already-relegated Wolves at the Amex. The Seagulls are chasing European football, sitting eighth and just two points behind Bournemouth in sixth, making this a near must-win fixture.

Wolves have managed just one goal since mid-March, giving Brighton every incentive to keep things tight at the back. A clean sheet looks very achievable, and van Hecke is well-placed to collect the defensive returns that come with it.

Junior Kroupi (Bournemouth) – £4.6m

Bournemouth’s remarkable 15-game unbeaten run in the Premier League has them firmly in the hunt for a top-six finish, with an outside chance of Champions League football if results go their way. Central to that charge has been Junior Kroupi.

The young striker has been in fine goalscoring form and looks set to carry their attacking threat. A trip to Fulham could open up into a high-scoring affair, and at £4.6m, Kroupi represents one of the most exciting budget options available heading into the final weeks.

Richarlison (Tottenham Hotspur) – £6.3m

Richarlison has become Tottenham’s most important attacking outlet, and his impact is reflected in the numbers, 10 goals and 14 goal involvements in total this season amounts to a contribution roughly every other game.

His second goal at Villa Park was pivotal in handing Spurs a crucial win that lifted them out of the relegation zone, and the momentum is building at the right time. Leeds visit this weekend, presenting another opportunity for Spurs to build on that result.
