Manchester United enter the new season under permanent boss Michael Carrick, hoping to build on a much-improved campaign that secured a return to the Champions League.
Off the pitch, the club’s biggest names lean on partners who’ve stood by them through the highs and lows at Old Trafford.
Here’s a closer look at the women supporting Manchester United’s stars this season.
Lisa Carrick, wife of head coach Michael Carrick
Lisa has stood beside Michael Carrick long before he became United’s permanent head coach. The couple met as teenagers at school in Newcastle, and they married in 2007. Together, they have two children, Louise and Jacey, with Jacey now coming through United’s own academy.
Lisa also helps run the Michael Carrick Foundation and works as a Pilates instructor. That said, she’s no stranger to controversy either. Back in 2014, she fired off a since-deleted tweet calling Roy Keane “a ****” after he criticised her husband’s post-match interview.
Keane reignited the spat over a decade later, taking a swipe at her “big mouth” once Michael took permanent charge of the Premier League club.
Ana Pinho, wife of Bruno Fernandes
Ana Pinho has known Bruno Fernandes since they were classmates at Boavista High School in Portugal. The pair started dating at just 16, and Ana even worked as a futsal referee to help fund their early dates. Consequently, she watched Bruno’s career unfold from small Italian clubs all the way to Old Trafford.
The couple dated for eight years before marrying in December 2015, and they now have two children together. Ana has largely stayed out of the spotlight, though she remains one of Bruno’s biggest supporters, both as United captain and on the international stage with Portugal.
Fern Hawkins, wife of Harry Maguire
Fern Hawkins met Harry Maguire back in 2011, when both were still teenagers in Sheffield. She went on to qualify as a physiotherapist, earning a First Class degree from the University of Birmingham. Meanwhile, Harry’s career took off, and Fern stayed by his side through every step, including his time as United captain.
He proposed in Paris in 2018, and the couple married in 2022 at a French chateau, following an earlier civil ceremony in the UK. They now have two daughters, Lillie Saint and Piper Rose, and Fern continues to combine motherhood with her own social media presence.
Claudia Lopes, wife of Diogo Dalot
Claudia Lopes met Diogo Dalot in 2020, during his loan spell at AC Milan. She’s Portuguese too, and the couple’s relationship deepened as Diogo built his career first in Italy, then back at Old Trafford. In 2023, Dalot proposed after a Chris Brown concert in Manchester, filling a room with roses and a “Marry Me” sign.
The couple welcomed their daughter, Clara, later that year. They finally married in the summer of 2025 at the 18th-century Palace of Queluz in Portugal, celebrating with family and friends late into the night.
Gabriela Nogueira, wife of Matheus Cunha
Gabriela Nogueira, a law graduate from Rio de Janeiro, met Cunha back in 2017. The couple have been inseparable ever since, moving countries together as his career progressed through Hertha Berlin and Wolves before his move to Manchester United. They married in 2024 in a lively beach ceremony in Rio, and Gabriela described the day as more festival than wedding.
The pair share two children, son Levi and daughter Liz, who arrived just before United’s pre-season tour last year. Gabriela remains a constant presence in Matheus’s football journey, cheering him on through his breakout World Cup campaign with Brazil this summer.

Morgan Davies works as a model, and she’s been spotted alongside Manchester United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir on several occasions. The couple keep a relatively low profile, though their appearances together have caught the attention of United fans on social media.
