Arsenal WAGs: Meet the women behind the defending champions ahead of the new season
Arsenal head into the new Premier League season as reigning champions, and their success on the pitch comes with plenty of support off it.
From childhood sweethearts to ballroom dancers, these partners have become well-known figures in the Premier League in their own right.
Here’s a look at the women standing behind some of Arsenal’s biggest stars.
Lorena Bernal, wife of Mikel Arteta
Long before Mikel Arteta became Arsenal’s manager, Lorena Bernal was already carving out her own path. She’s Argentine-born and Spanish-raised, and won Miss Spain at just 17. From there, she built a career as an actor, model, TV presenter, and spiritual life coach.
In fact, she even wrote her own book, “It Starts With You.” Mikel and Lorena met in a nightclub in San Sebastian back in 2002. At the time, Lorena had no idea he played football, which somehow makes the story even better. The couple married in 2010, and have three sons.
Lauren Fryer, partner of Declan Rice
Lauren Fryer keeps her life almost entirely out of the spotlight. She met Declan Rice as a teenager in Kingston-upon-Thames, and the pair have been together since 2015. Consequently, they’ve grown up together through every stage of his career.
The couple welcomed a son though they haven’t married. Lauren stepped back from social media after facing abuse in 2024. Still, she made a rare public appearance at the Emirates in May, celebrating Arsenal’s first league title in 22 years alongside Declan and their son.
Tolami Benson, fiancee of Bukayo Saka
Tolami Benson has become one of the most recognisable faces among England’s WAGs. She and Bukayo Saka started dating around 2020, though they only went public a few years later. Meanwhile, Tolami built her own career as a media strategist and PR professional.
She now works alongside a growing profile as a fashion influencer. The couple got engaged in November 2025 after six years together. Since then, Tolami has drawn attention for her striking matchday outfits, and she’s become a fixture at Arsenal and England fixtures alike.
Helene Spilling, wife of Martin Odegaard
Helene Spilling arrived with a reputation of her own before she ever met Martin Odegaard. She’s a professional ballroom dancer in Norway, and she won the country’s version of Dancing with the Stars in 2021. The couple started dating in early 2023, and kept things quiet at first.
However, they married secretly in November 2024, a fact that only became public the following year. Helene and Martin now have a young son together, and she regularly splits her time between Norway and London to support her husband, Arsenal’s captain.
Gabrielle Figueiredo, wife of Gabriel Magalhaes
Gabrielle Figueiredo has built a large following of her own as a make-up artist, model, and beauty influencer. She and Gabriel met back in 2020, not long before he became a starter at Arsenal. The couple got engaged shortly before welcoming their daughter, Maya, in 2022.
Since then, Gabrielle has become one of the most visible WAGs in the Arsenal fanbase, partly thanks to her appearance alongside Gabriel in the Amazon Prime docuseries “Married to the Game.” The show gives fans a rare look into life off the pitch.
Sophia Havertz, wife of Kai Havertz
Sophia has known Kai since childhood. They grew up in the same neighbourhood in Germany, and their friendship turned romantic in 2018, right as Kai broke through at Bayer Leverkusen. From there, Sophia stood by him through his move to Chelsea and, eventually, to Arsenal.
The couple got engaged in 2023 and married in July 2024 at Bensberg Castle in Germany. They welcomed their first child, a son, in March 2025. Sophia works as a model and social media influencer, though she keeps most family details private.
Tatiana Trouboul, wife of David Raya
Tatiana Trouboul is a model from Barcelona, and she’s been by David Raya’s side since his Brentford days. The couple went public in 2022, then married in Spain soon after. One groomsman even arrived at the wedding in an inflatable tuxedo.
That moment instantly became a highlight of the day. In October 2025, Tatiana and David announced they were expecting their first child. Their son, Rio, arrived in March 2026, and the family celebrated further in July when Spain lifted the World Cup.
Naima Corbin, wife of Eberechi Eze
Naima Corbin and Eberechi Eze go all the way back. She was supporting him long before he ever pulled on an Arsenal shirt, and the pair are true childhood sweethearts. Naima balances that history with a serious career of her own, working as a nurse in the ICU.
When it came to tying the knot, the couple didn’t hold back. They celebrated with three separate weddings, including a traditional Nigerian ceremony.
Millie White, wife of Ben White
Millie White, formerly Millie Adams, is married to Arsenal defender Ben White. She confirmed the relationship in 2022 with a simple photo of the couple’s intertwined hands, and Ben’s distinctive tattoo gave the moment away instantly.
No caption needed. The couple then married in May 2023 at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London.
Rose de Back, girlfriend of Jurrien Timber
Rose de Back keeps things low-key, though she still shares plenty of striking photos with fans online. She and Jurrien Timber have been together since 2021, meeting around the time of Euro 2020 while he was still at Ajax.
Rose studied at the Amsterdam Fashion Academy before continuing her education in London at Regent’s University. The couple moved to England together once Timber signed for Arsenal, and they’ve since been spotted at events like Wimbledon alongside teammates and partners.
Lola Liberal, wife of Mikel Merino
Lola Liberal has Arsenal fans firmly on her side. After Mikel Merino forgot her Valentine’s Day gift, he made up for it by scoring twice against Leicester and dedicating both goals to his wife.
There were clearly no hard feelings, since Lola called the goals the “best gift ever.” Low maintenance, high standards. In May 2026, the couple welcomed their son, Marco.
Isabella Rousso, wife of Gabriel Martinelli
Isabella Rousso hails from Rio de Janeiro, and she somehow balances medical school with regular trips between Brazil and London to support Gabriel Martinelli. The couple got married recently, and Isabella has already shown a knack for prediction.
During Arsenal’s title-winning campaign, she correctly called a Martinelli goal against Manchester City before it happened.
