The Premier League has released all 380 fixtures for the 2026/27 campaign today. Clubs, supporters, and Fantasy managers can now plan their entire season. The action kicks off on Saturday 22 August 2026 and runs all the way through to Sunday 30 May 2027.

Moreover, the Premier League season starts one week later than usual, with player welfare firmly at the forefront of our thinking given the demands of the World Cup 2026 this summer.

So, without further delay, here are the headline talking points.

Arsenal raise the curtain and the stakes

Champions Arsenal open their title defence at Emirates on Friday 21 August, hosting newly promoted Coventry City in a 20:00 BST kick-off. Additionally, Arsenal face tricky test at Aston Villa and then Xabi Alonso’s Chelsea in their next two, so Mikel Arteta’s side face no gentle easing in.

Furthermore, the Gunners don’t meet Liverpool until the end of October and Manchester City until the end of November, giving them valuable time to build momentum. Notably, their final fixture sees them welcome Brighton to Emirates and they could yet seal the title on home soil.

Three promoted sides, three big stories

Coventry City return to the Premier League for the first time since 2000/01, after Frank Lampard’s side won the Championship title. Consequently, their supporters face a remarkable 25-year wait finally coming to an end.

Meanwhile, Ipswich Town secured automatic promotion by finishing second in the Championship, while Hull City complete the line-up after beating Middlesbrough in the play-off final in a thrilling manner. The opening weekend already delivers a taste of more drama ahead.

Hull City host Manchester United in the season’s first Saturday lunchtime game, live on TNT Sports at 12:30, while Ipswich Town play their first game back against Sunderland.

The derbies that will define the season

The first marquee derby of the season takes Manchester City to Old Trafford in Gameweek 4, and just a month later City head to Anfield to face Liverpool in the first fixture after the three-week international break.

Furthermore, new Chelsea boss Xabi Alonso faces west London rivals Fulham at Craven Cottage in the very first Monday Night Football, making for a baptism of fire in the capital. The Merseyside derby takes place in late November and the other one in late January.

Later in the campaign, the opening Tyne-Wear derby between Newcastle and Sunderland arrives in early December on the very same day that Tottenham Hotspur entertain north London rivals Arsenal.

A season-ending Sunday to remember

The final round takes place on Sunday 30 May, when all 10 fixtures kick off simultaneously. Crucially, the final day sees Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United all play at home, meaning title celebrations, or heartbreak, could unfold in front of packed home crowds.

Additionally, the final day falls one week before the UEFA Champions League Final on Saturday 5 June 2027, giving the domestic season its own clean and dramatic conclusion.
