Every season, a handful of Premier League stars quietly thrive outside the spotlight. They put up elite numbers, carry mid-table sides on their backs, and show flashes of brilliance that hint at something bigger.

Something that could erupt if they were surrounded by world-class teammates. These are the players who feel too good for their current situation. The ones who look like they’re operating on a different wavelength, even when everything around them is chaos.

In this piece, we look at five Premier League talents who seem one transfer away from superstardom.

5 – Michael Kayode (Brentford)

A rather short sample size to make such a huge call but Michael Kayode in 2025/26 has been one of the best full-backs in the Premier League.

Signed from Fiorentina in the summer of 2024 on loan, Brentford made the move permanent in 2025. Kayode has been a revelation for Keith Andrews’ new-look Brentford side and his long-throws, in particular, have been a game-changer.

Kayode feels more and more like a player waiting to explode and if he remains consistent, he will get his move to a top six Premier League club.

4 – Iliman Ndiaye (Everton)

Comfortably Everton’s best player, even after they signed Jack Grealish on loan, Iliman Ndiaye is truly coming into his own.

Ndiaye’s the type of player that gets you on the edge of your seat. He can produce a moment of magic out of nothing and he can consistently take on his man and cause a ruckus in the opposition’s half.

If he can add a little more to his numbers, it would not surprise anyone if one of the big clubs came knocking on Everton’s door next summer.

3 – Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth)

Maybe a little bit ahead of Ndiaye in terms of adding goals and assists to his game, Antoine Semenyo is already interesting the big dogs in the Premier League.

The Ghanaian international has a release clause in his current contract and the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal are both weighing up a move ahead of January.

Semenyo’s been the most electric player in the Premier League. He has 9 goal involvements in 11 games for Bournemouth, including a fantastic brace at Anfield.

2 – Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest)

Like Antoine Semenyo, Elliot Anderson is already a major candidate for big six clubs. Anderson’s unique profile is something that a lot of title contenders in the Premier League lack.

Liverpool could do with a midfielder that can do everything. So can Manchester City with Rodri out, and Manchester United are already monitoring his situation, as per ESPN.

Anderson is great on the ball, even better without it, and puts in tackles for fun. He is basically a two-in-one midfielder who will only benefit from having more quality around him.

1 – Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa)

This should not come as a surprise because Morgan Rogers is arguably the best player on any team outside the traditional top six.

Rogers is a maverick. There are not many other no.10s or wide players that bring the same level of physicality that he does. It is actually crazy to imagine that he is still only 23.

There were rumours about Liverpool being interested in signing him. Fact is, he would improve almost every club in the Premier League.
