Football Paparazzi Weekly Fantasy Fix: Your Gameweek 14 Guide
Last Updated on 1 December 2025
Welcome back to Football Paparazzi’s Weekly Fantasy Fix, your go-to guide for navigating every twist and turn of the FPL season.
Fantasy Premier League’s Gameweek 14 arrives with fresh headaches, tempting differentials, and a very quick turnaround with the deadline being on 2nd December, 18:00.
Whether you’re protecting your rank or chasing down your mini-league leader, this is your complete guide to climbing the ranks. From in-form assets to sneaky one-week punts, we’re breaking down the smartest moves to help you stay one step ahead before the deadline.
Top picks for Gameweek 14:
Exercising caution is your best bet ahead of Gameweek 14. The most transferred in player has been Igor Thiago, but the Brazilian has two tough fixtures coming up. Back to back trips to North London see Brentford playing Arsenal and then Tottenham Hotspur.

Instead, a better alternative is Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo. Five games without a goal or an assist, it might not seem like the best pick but Semenyo has been very unlucky. With Everton losing at home, and the Vitality Stadium not being the easiest place to visit, the Ghanaian could come up with a huge haul.
Our second pick is Alexander Isak, who scored his first goal in the Premier League for Liverpool. The British record transfer faces newly-promoted Sunderland, at Anfield, as the champions look to string a couple of wins together.
For our final pick, we are going with Bryan Mbeumo. Manchester United got a big win away at Selhurst Park on Sunday. Next they will host Nuno Espirito Santo’s West Ham at Old Trafford on Thursday. Mbeumo was unlucky not to score against Palace, and faces relatively easier opposition.
Captain options for Gameweek 14:
With Erling Haaland blanking in back-to-back games for Manchester City, is it time to consider a change in your captaincy?
If you are brave enough to change your captain, then one of the most appealing options is Jean-Philippe Mateta. The French international was on the scoresheet in Gameweek 13, and takes on Burnley at Turf Moor.
Something of a wild-card option could be Mohamed Salah, if you still have him in your team. Rested for the full 90 against West Ham United, the Egyptian is expected to start against Sunderland at home.
That said, the safe option is still Haaland, because despite Fulham’s decent form, players are bound to be tired after such a quick turnaround. City players are more used to this intensity and Haaland will be hoping to get his form back.
FPL Cup – How to make the cut?
Also, the FPL Cup begins from Gameweek 15, so for all those aspiring to make a cup run, Gameweek 14 just got bigger!

If you get a really high score (relative to others) in Gameweek 14, you could get a bye in Gameweek 15. So, this is your chance to make the most of your unused chips and try to secure a bye for Gameweek 15.
Remember to fill your team with goal-scoring options. Because in case of a tiebreaker, the team with more goals progresses. Best of luck and remember to save your teams before 18:00 on Tuesday!
