The Premier League has never had a shortage of exceptional young talent, but a new generation is emerging that could define the next decade of football.

These five wonderkids, already turning heads in 2025, have the skill, maturity, and star power to become global superstars.

Here are the biggest talents set to take the 2025/26 Premier League campaign by storm.

5 – Harry Howell (Brighton)

Brighton’s academy continues to produce elite talent, and Harry Howell may be the next breakout star.

The 17-year-old became the club’s youngest-ever Premier League player in May, earning praise from Fabian Hurzeler as a “special player.”

Despite spending last season playing against opponents one or two years older, Howell was one of Brighton’s best U21 performers.

Largely operating from the right, he stood out for his blistering dribbling, powerful shooting, and ability to create space with minimal touches. He ranked top-five in both expected assists and completed dribbles in PL2.

His Premier League debut was the perfect snapshot of his potential.

Introduced late against Liverpool with the score at 2–2, Howell helped flip the momentum instantly, and Brighton scored the winner just 78 seconds after he came on, celebrating with cousin Jack Hinshelwood.

4 – Hindolo Mustapha (Crystal Palace)

One of the standout talents of PL2 last season, Mustapha was the youngest nominee for the 2024/25 Player of the Season award. In fact, he was unlucky not to win.

Already capped and scoring for Sierra Leone at senior level, he has the profile of a midfielder built for modern football.

Mustapha played primarily as an advanced No. 10 in a role similar to the one Oliver Glasner uses in Palace’s senior team. His numbers were absolutely elite across the board, as per the Premier League.

First in dribbles completed (63), first in open-play chances created (48), second in possession won, and top scorer from outside the box with five long-range goals.

He was unlucky not to get a game for Palace, last season, but Selhurst faithful will hope to see Mustapha in action this season.

3 – Max Dowman (Arsenal)

Arsenal’s Hale End academy has produced stars before but Max Dowman may be the most gifted of them all.

Mikel Arteta has openly praised the teenager, calling his talent “unbelievable,” and he has already been rewarded with three senior appearances. Two in the Premier League and one in the Champions League during the 2025/26 season.

His style of play is truly a pleasure to watch. Gliding past defenders with an elegance, Dowman has been compared to Cole Palmer, George Best, and Kaka.

Although too young to feature regularly, Arsenal are easing him into the first-team environment. But if his development continues at this pace, he might force himself into the first-team.

2 – Rio Ngumoha (Liverpool)

Chelsea were furious when Liverpool poached Rio Ngumoha in 2024 and the early evidence suggests they were right to be.

Ngumoha became Liverpool’s youngest-ever starter in a competitive match and dazzled throughout preseason with his fearless dribbling and maturity on the ball.

His first major moment arrived in the current campaign. A 99th-minute winner at St James’ Park, instantly cementing his status as one of Liverpool’s most exciting prospects.

Technically sharp and tactically intuitive, Ngumoha looks like a future Premier League star who could break into Liverpool’s first team sooner rather than later.

1 – Estevao (Chelsea)

Tipped as the best Brazilian talent since Vinicius Junior, Estevao arrived at Chelsea with massive expectation, and has already delivered.

After tormenting the Blues at the Club World Cup, he joined them and scored a decisive winner against champions Liverpool in the 2025/26 campaign.

He combines flair, acceleration, ball control, and creativity with a confidence rarely seen in players his age. Able to play on either flank or centrally as a No. 10, he is already pushing for a regular starting role despite Chelsea’s initial plan to integrate him slowly.
