The 5 best Premier League summer signings of 2025
Last Updated on 21 November 2025
The 2025 summer transfer window delivered everything Premier League fans hoped for. Record-breaking fees, surprise moves, rising stars, and a few strokes of pure recruitment genius.
While some transfers grabbed headlines instantly, others have quietly become game-changing additions for their new Premier League clubs.
Now that the season is underway, we can finally separate the hype from the real impact.
5 – Bryan Mbeumo (Manchester United)
Manchester United signed Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford for a reported fee of £71 million. It was one of the three blockbuster attacking signings that Ruben Amorim made as he looked to revamp his offense.

And it’s fair to say that Mbeumo has been, so far, the best one of the three. He’s got 6 goals for his new club in all competitions already, including the opener at Anfield, where United won for the first time in a decade.
Mbeumo also won the PL Player of the Month award for October after brilliant performances, and United fans will hope there’s a lot more to come from the Cameroonian.
4 – Martin Dubravka (Burnley)
Goalkeeping might not be the toughest gig in football but to sign up for a promoted team in the current Premier League climate is a brave job.
And, as far as Martin Dubravka is concerned, he’s done a spectacular job with Burnley. Many expected Burnley to crash and burn right away, but they have been a lot more sturdier than anyone expected them to be. For that alone, Dubravka deserves a lot of credit.
No other goalkeeper has made more saves than him, helping keep his side just above the relegation dotted line. In fact, as per Opta’s expected points table, Burnley should be rock-bottom.
Who knows, maybe he could prove to be the difference at the end of the season, too.
3 – Nick Woltemade (Newcastle United)
Replacing a 23-goal striker is definitely not an easy job but Newcastle United, after a tough summer, almost make it look easy.
Nick Woltemade was signed from Stuttgart for a fee close to £70m and if you ask anyone on Tyneside, Woltemade’s already paid most of it off.
That’s because few strikers have made a better start to the Premier League campaign than Woltemade. He’s already scored four goals in 8 matches in the Premier League with two more in all competitions.
He’s also been in superb form for his country, scoring freely for Germany in the World Cup Qualifiers.
2 – Adrien Truffert (Bournemouth)
Quite easily the most underrated signing made by any Premier League club, Adrien Truffert plays like he belongs in the Premier League.
Bournemouth signed the left-back for a rumoured fee around the £10m mark, which can be considered a daylight robbery. Especially, when you factor in how they sold Milos Kerkez to Liverpool for approximately four times that much.
Truffert has been arguably the best left-back in the league, putting in some superb displays against big-name wingers.
1 – Martin Zubimendi (Arsenal)
A lot like Truffert, Martin Zubimendi also went under the radar. Maybe it was because of all the other big names moving to the Premier League in the summer but Zubimendi has been the best summer business done by any English club.
The former Real Sociedad man has looked the part in every Premier League game, showcasing his physicality and his delicate touch. He already has 3 direct goal involvements for Arsenal, who sit pretty atop the Premier League table.
Zubimendi has been crucial in Arsenal’s unbelievable defensive solidity and he provides a different dimension to their midfield.
