Tottenham’s Champions League night was overshadowed by shocking revelations involving one of their own.

Initially the name of the player had not been revealed but it was reported that a 31-year-old agent had been arrested.

Apparently the police were called on scene on 6th of September, 23:14, because a man, Udogie, was threatened with a firearm. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, but the Italian youngster was quite ‘shaken up’ after the tough ordeal.

Spurs confirmed that they have been offering full support to Udogie and his family since the incident.

“We have been providing support for Destiny and his family since the incident and will continue to do so. Given this is a legal matter, we cannot comment any further,” the club said.

Despite the incident, Udogie continued to feature for Spurs, making an appearance just a week later in a London derby against West Ham. That goes to show how committed the 22-year-old remains, and his resilience amid distressing circumstances.

The incident actually lifts the lid on Udogie’s future at Tottenham. Having joined the London club from Udinese in 2022, Udogie has faced tough competition for a starting spot.

Now with Djed Spence in fine form, Udogie features but not as much as he would like to.

In fact, some believe that this was one of the reasons why the youngster was planning a move away from North London.

That could be why he switched agencies, signing with Elite Project Group, an agency that represents the likes of Bukayo Saka, Jadon Sancho, and Romeo Lavia.

Italy secured a play-off spot to qualify for the World Cup, after their win over Israel in mid-October. They will hope to return to the grand stage after missing out on the World Cup in 2022.
