Barcelona were played off the park by Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu with Jude Bellingham netting the winner for Los Blancos.
The game saw Pedri sent off in stoppage time while Lamine Yamal struggled to make any impact for Barcelona.
And now, the 18-year-old is facing strong criticism from fans on social media for not being ‘good enough’.
CBS Sports’ Ian Paul Joy SLAMS Lamine Yamal for ‘getting carried away’
Before the El Clasico kicked off, Lamine Yamal gave a fiery interview firing shots at Real Madrid.
However, not walking his talk has led to a lot of criticism with CBS Sports’ pundit, Ian Paul Joy, ripping into Yamal.
Yamal’s performance was quite average, with the teenager struggling to make any sort of positive impact for his side.
But it’s quite easy to forget that he is still only a teenager and progress is hardly linear.
Despite that, the youngster was heavily criticized online by fans for producing a poor performance with even journalists taking shots at him.
Dani Carvajal ‘teaches Yamal a lesson’ after heated row during El Clasico
Due to Yamal’s pre-match comments, Real Madrid fans and players were hoping to teach Barcelona a lesson.

Dani Carvajal and Yamal had a coming together with the Real Madrid captain saying, “you speak too much, speak now!”
Even Vinicius Junior joined the argument, taunting the youngster that he ‘only passes backwards’.
All that added to the fiesty nature of the fixture, as Real Madrid extended their lead at the top of the table to five points.
As far as Barcelona are concerned, it was a tough loss, raising questions that need answering for Hansi Flick.
The Catalan club have been poor, this season, losing two games in La Liga and one in the Champions League, already.
