A subtle move online from Nico Williams has sparked a fresh twist in Lamine Yamal’s rumoured romance, keeping the story very much alive.

From rumors of a break-up in less than a fortnight to an alleged love triangle involving a Real Madrid star, Lamine Yamal and Nicki Nicole’s rocky relationship has become the story of the summer.

Spanish outlet Marca had reported trouble in paradise between Yamal and the Nicki Nicole. The reports were based on the fact that neither of the two had posted a permanent post on Instagram.

Then reports from South America mentioned the emergence of a new love interest for Nicki, fellow Argentine, Franco Mastantuono. However, all those rumors have been put to bed by Yamal’s Spanish teammate, Nico Williams.

The caption from Nico’s story read, ‘My boy is in love’, further squashing any rumors of a break-up.

And if the body language is anything to go by, that smile from Barcelona’s talisman spoke a thousand words, too.

Lamine Yamal shines in Spain’s emphatic 6-0 win over Turkey

While his love life dominates the tabloids, Lamine Yamal was up to his usual antics on the pitch. His contributions helped Spain take apart Turkiye in the World Cup 2026 qualifiers, putting six past them in a rout.

The Barca teenager shone was unplayable, assisting Ferran Torres and Mikel Merino’s third, while Nico Williams also got an assist, setting up Pedri’s first goal. Those two assists took Yamal’s tally for assists to 6 for the season in five games for club and country.

Meanwhile, two goals from Pedri, a hat-trick from Merino and a goal from Ferran got Spain off to the perfect start in the qualifiers, recording two wins from two against Bulgaria and Turkey.
