Bournemouth were ransacked by many clubs with their entire backline departing for other clubs. This included the big money sale of Milos Kerkez to Liverpool and exits of centerbacks, Dean Huijsen and Ilia Zabarnyi.

Despite a number of high profile exits, Bournemouth have made an excellent start to the 2025/26 Premier League season.

Unfortunately for them, that means more interest in their top players and if reports are to be believed, the Cherries are bracing for another major exit in January.

£100m price tag on Antoine Semenyo as Liverpool set to rival Arsenal for red-hot winger

The 2025/26 Premier League could be decided by a Bournemouth forward as both, champions and the challengers, are interested in signing Antoine Semenyo.

Richard Hughes of Liverpool, has already sounded out his former club Bournemouth, meanwhile Arsenal remain interested, too as per Indykaila.

The Ghanaian international only signed a new long-term contract in July. This gives Bournemouth strong leverage in any negotiations, especially in January.

As per reports, the Cherries are holding out for a nine sum figure to do any business.

Both Liverpool and Arsenal are said to admire Semenyo’s versatility but will they cough up the £100m Bournemouth want? That remains to be seen in January.

Antoine Semenyo’s dominant performances see Bournemouth soar to fourth

However, without strong output from Semenyo, Bournemouth would not be where they are in the table. They sit fourth, two points off leaders Arsenal and a point ahead of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

The 25-year-old has been unstoppable. He has been directly involved in 81% of the Premier League goals scored by the club, as per FBref. And with six goals in seven games, he’s closing in on his tally from last season when he netted 11 times.

If Semenyo carries on this upward trajectory, it’s hard to see him staying at Bournemouth, even with that eye-watering price tag.
