Welcome back to Football Paparazzi’s Weekly Fantasy Fix, where the festive fixture chaos meets the need for cool-headed Fantasy decision-making.

Yes, that is right, the Fantasy Fix is back again, already, less than a day after the last Gameweek finished. But the next deadline is also on Tuesday, the 30th of December at 18:00 GMT. So, join us, as we make your task a lot easier with the best picks ahead of Fantasy Premier League’s Gameweek 19.

First thing’s first, though, remember to use any chips you have left in THIS Gameweek, because everyone will get a fresh batch ahead of Gameweek 20. Here are the best picks for Gameweek 19.

Reece James – Chelsea (£5.7m)

Chelsea might not be in the best form imaginable but Reece James definitely is. Coming up against an out-of-form Bournemouth side, the Blues will be hoping to keep a cleansheet.

The Cherries, on the other hand, have been extremely poor defensively. James can contribute big time on both ends of the pitch as he has been playing a lot further forward in his new role. Not to mention, he offers a major threat from setpieces.

Rayan Cherki – Manchester City (£6.6m)

Quite possibly the most in-form player in the Premier League, right now, is Rayan Cherki. Despite facing a tough test away to Sunderland, who are unbeaten in the Premier League at the Stadium of Light, our advice is to play the form, not the fixtures.

The only concern could be rotation but Manchester City don’t play on Tuesday, they are scheduled to play last on Thursday. That should give Pep’s players enough time to recover, although the thought of facing Chelsea on Sunday won’t be too appealing.

That said, Cherki is a fantastic option for Gameweek 19. Sunderland gave up a lead to Leeds United in their last outing at home and will be without significant cavalry due to AFCON.

Hugo Ekitike – Liverpool (£9.1m)

A no-brainer, according to many, Hugo Ekitike is Liverpool’s main talisman, right now. His beautiful assist for Florian Wirtz meant that he has 5 goals and an assist in his last four games.

The Reds take on Leeds United at Anfield and will be hoping to make it four wins in a row in the Premier League. If they do, you can expect Ekitike to be in the mix with returns. He already haunted the Peacocks at Elland Road with a well-taken brace.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin – Leeds United (£5.8m)

Some players love to do their scoring in clusters and few do it better than Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Rayan Cherki’s form might be incredible but Calvert-Lewin has 7 goals in his last six Premier League games. No other Leeds player has ever been on a longer run.

Despite a daunting fixture on paper at Anfield, Liverpool leak goals and Calvert-Lewin has a decent record against the Reds. It would not be a surprise if Leeds got at least one against the champions and there’s a great chance that the former Evertonian gets an involvement.
