Liverpool and Adidas bring back the trefoil in a stunning ’90s-inspired third kit
Last Updated on 9 September 2025
Adidas is turning back the clock with Liverpool’s third kit that screams ’90s nostalgia and celebrates the legendary trefoil logo.
Since switching from Nike to Adidas ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, Liverpool unveiled their home and away kit in early August. The home kit comes with the iconic Adidas stripes, refreshing the memories of the mid-2000s.
Meanwhile, the away kit is a nod to some classic Liverpool away shirts, complete with an off-white base along with black and red detailing.
The third kit completes Liverpool’s kit collection for the 25/26 season.

Penning a record-breaking 10-year partnership, Liverpool and Adidas are off to a great start. It’s the third time in history that the Anfield club will wear Adidas shirts.
Returning to Anfield with a vibrant third kit, Liverpool and Adidas have already recorded the highest sales for their home and away kits in the first month, according to the Liverpool.com.
And with record signings of Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak, more sales are expected to follow.
The outfield green kit features a white and black collar and a design that’s been described as, “blending heritage with modern performance to honor one of the most iconic eras in the club’s history”.
On the back of the shirt, the 97-emblem, surrounded by eternal flames, rests at the nape of the neck. The front features the iconic Liverpool crest from 1987–1992.
Meanwhile the goalkeeper kit is an alluring all-black with a white collar.
Liverpool set to debut their new third kit against Burnley
Fans will get to see the third kit in action against Burnley on the 14th of September, as confirmed by the Liverpool’s official website. The launch also comes right in time, as Liverpool kick off their Champions League campaign on the 17th of September.
The Reds could wear their new kit in Europe for the first time on the 30th of September, when they take on Galatasaray in Turkey.
The women’s team will wear the new stripes for the first time on the 22nd of November against Sheffield United.
