Behind the scenes at Old Trafford, the pressure is reaching breaking point in light of recent results.

Whispers of a dramatic shake-up are growing louder, and insiders suggest that Manchester United’s hierarchy could be preparing for a seismic change in the dugout.

Reports indicate that a covert plan, dubbed, “International Reset” is already being discussed at the highest level.

In fact, senior figures in the dressing room are said to be bracing themselves for big news. With boardroom tensions at boiling point, the situation feels like a ticking time bomb.

The ultimatum for Ruben Amorim, three games to save his Manchester United job

As per Indykaila on X, Manchester United’s hierarchy has made it clear. Ruben Amorim has the next three fixtures to save his future at the club.

After enduring the club’s worst start in over three decades, patience is wearing thin among both the board and the fanbase.

Sources suggest that unless results swing dramatically in his favour, the axe could fall during the October international break.

The pressure is intensified as Ruben Amorim has no plans of changing his style of play and the upcoming games are quite tough, too.

World champions, Chelsea, are in town next and will be hosted by Amorim’s men at Old Trafford, this weekend. They are one of the three teams still unbeaten in the Premier League, so United will really need to pull a rabbit out of the hat to get all three points.

After Chelsea, the Red Devils travel down to London to play Brentford. On paper this looks like a winnable fixture for United but Brentford’s record at home is decent despite a mixed start to the season.

The final fixture on the three is definitely the easiest in comparison, Sunderland at home. But if results do not pick up until then, it won’t really matter for Amorim as his fate would have already been sealed.

Who’s next? Inside Manchester United’s secret shortlist of potential successors

As per the Mirror, a shortlist of five managers has been drawn to replace Ruben Amorim.

Three of the five managers are currently employed by Premier League teams. Marco Silva of Fulham, Oliver Glasner of Crystal Palace and Andoni Iraola of Bournemouth.

The other names are Sir Gareth Southgate and Mauricio Pochettino. Southgate took England to the finals of Euro 2024, while Pochettino’s been plying his trade with the USA national team.

Both Southgate and Pochettino are admired by INEOS hierarchy and were strongly linked with the job before Amorim took over.
