Welcome to the first edition of Football Paparazzi’s Weekly Fantasy Fix. Your new go-to guide for the smartest, boldest, and most rewarding Fantasy Premier League (FPL) picks every gameweek.

Each week, our team of experts will spotlight a few under-the-radar heroes or must-have stars set to deliver the goods. Whether you are chasing mini-league glory in the Fantasy Premier League or trying to recover from that disastrous benching decision last week. Yeah, we’ve all been there.

Here are our THREE picks for Gameweek 9:

Cody Gakpo – Liverpool (£7.5m)

Liverpool finally broke their losing streak in the Champions League and four of their next five Premier League matches are very promising.

Cody Gakpo offers a cut-price route into Liverpool’s attack as they look to put together a winning run.

In fact, the Dutchman is in fine form, scoring six goals in his last five appearances for club and country. More importantly, he was taken off with 15 minutes to go on Wednesday and with an injury to Alexander Isak, Gakpo is expected to start against Brentford.

Nick Woltemade – Newcastle United (£7.4m)

Newcastle United’s Nick Woltemade has made a tremendous start to life in England, scoring five times for the Magpies already.

Four of those five goals came in the Premier League, with three in the last three. It’s the perfect time to bring him in, as Newcastle face Fulham at St James Park next.

That is followed by an away trip to struggling West Ham and a topsy-turvy Brentford after that.

With the kind of form Woltemade is in, you can expect decent returns from the German.

Reece James – Chelsea – (£5.4m)

It’s easy to get caught up in the defensive points craze right now, but don’t sleep on Reece James’s attacking firepower.

The Chelsea captain has been quietly racking up assists, three already in the Premier League, and ranks joint-third among defenders for chances created with 11.

Plus, five of Chelsea’s next eight fixtures rate just 2 on the FDR scale, a dream run for anyone looking to strengthen their backline with a serious attacking edge.

That wraps up Football Paparazzi’s first-ever Weekly Fantasy Fix, but it’s just the beginning. Each week, we’ll be back with fresh picks, data-driven insights, and a touch of FPL chaos to help you outsmart your rivals.

And remember, Gameweek 9’s deadline hits Friday at 18:30 BST. Don’t miss the deadline, make your moves, trust your gut, and may your captain actually score this week!
