The Bernabeu is once again searching for direction after the sudden dismissal of Xabi Alonso, a move that has reopened one of football’s favourite rumours, Jurgen Klopp to Real Madrid.

With Alvaro Arbeloa stepping in from the reserve team and Madrid still chasing Barcelona in La Liga, uncertainty is swirling around the dugout. Whenever instability hits in Spain’s capital, the same name tends to surface.

And this time, it did again.

Jurgen Klopp distances himself from the Real Madrid job

Despite the speculation, Jurgen Klopp has made it clear that Real Madrid is not on his horizon.

Speaking to Austrian broadcaster Servus TV, via beIN SPORTS, the former Liverpool boss shut down the links with a blunt assessment of where he now stands in football.

“This has nothing to do with me and does not affect me at all,” said Klopp. “Coaching jobs are always changing, and it’s fine to observe that from the sidelines without worrying about what it might mean for you personally.”

Rather than feeling drawn toward another high-pressure job, Klopp insists he is comfortable in his current role with Red Bull’s global football project. From his new vantage point, he now watches the managerial carousel spin without feeling the need to step back in.

For now, at least, the Bernabeu will have to look elsewhere.

Zinedine Zidane & Enzo Maresca emerge as favorites for the dugout at Real Madrid

With Jurgen Klopp publicly distancing himself from the Bernabeu speculation and insisting he isn’t tempted back into management, the betting markets have swiftly shifted in favour of other names.

At the top of the odds are Enzo Maresca and Zinedine Zidane. Maresca, fresh off his Chelsea exit, is the early favourite with bookmakers, touted for his tactical nous and recent managerial experience.

Close behind is Zidane, already a club legend with multiple Champions League triumphs, who remains a go-to option should Madrid opt for someone already familiar with the Bernabeu pressure cooker.

Beyond those two, the market is wide open. Luis Enrique and Andoni Iraola have both been given significant support in the odds as credible outsiders, with others like Oliver Glasner and Roberto De Zerbi also in the mix.
